Folders
A folder is a group of nested child folders and databases. Folders are similar to file directories. Like file directories, folders enable you to organize your databases hierarchically, such as by project, team, or experimental modality.
For example, the video below illustrates how you can use a folder named "Registry" to organize multiple databases for tracking your plasmids and proteins.
Creating a folder
- Select location: In the left sidebar, hover over the desired location for your new folder, click its "+" button, and select the "Folder" option in the dropdown menu that opens.
- Enter folder name: In the popup window that opens, enter the desired name for your folder.
- Enter folder ID: Enter the desired ID for your folder. This ID can be used to programmatically retrieve the folder and its contents. Each folder must have a unique ID consisting of letters, numbers, underscores and dashes.
- Finalize: Click the "Create folder" button.
Editing a folder
